With over 300 attendees, the Bled for Boston gallery opening was a great success.  Thank you to all of the guests that captured moments using the #BledforBoston hashtag, and we decided to let those words and photos re-cap this event.

If you're interested in coming back to the BCAE to view the exhibit, it will be on display through the end of April. The gallery is open on weekdays from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm and at various times on the weekend. We are so looking forward to hosting a reception for Chris Padgett’s  Bled for Boston photography project next Thursday, April 3rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The collective body of Chris's yearlong project, Bled for Boston, features stunning photographs and personal accounts of people throughout New England who "Bled for Boston," getting tattoos in response to the Boston marathon bombings of 2013.

Of the over 70 participants in the project, 38 will have their portraits and tattoos on display throughout the BCAE here at 122 Arlington Street. The exhibit will be up throughout the month of April to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of the bombings, and the reception will serve as a way to come together and share our stories.

Chris's book, also titled "Bled for Boston," will be for sale at the event, with all proceeds benefiting Spaulding Rehabilitiation Hospital.

Artwork from Aaron Bouvier and Dan Blakeslee will also be on display.
