Dîner en Blanc

Ladies & Gentlemen

Unpack your summer whites and stock up on sparklers. A part of Paris is coming to Boston this summer in the form of Dîner en Blanc, an elegant impromptu picnic. For the occasion guests dress in all white formal wear and gather in a public place to dine and drink en plain air. The ultimate pop-up, the location of the event will remain a secret until the night of.

The gathering celebrates a shared love of style, food and culture and we’re predicting it’s going to be the talk of the town. The tradition began in Paris in 1988 by Francois Pasquier with a small group of friends and has become a summer ritual that now sees upwards of 10,000 dinner guests. Boston is one of fifteen cities to be hosting its first annual Dîner en Blanc this summer.

Attendees are responsible for bringing everything with them (from tables and chairs, to place settings and silverware). The difficulty is part of what makes the night so special and unique. Guests will have the option to bring their own epicurean feast or purchase a gourmet picnic when making their reservation. The Boston list will be limited to 1,300 guests. Dîner en Blanc Boston is currently looking for a few more volunteers and Table Leaders. If you are interested you can learn more by emailing Boston@dinerenblanc.info

Dîner en Blanc promises to be an unforgettable evening and an event not to be missed.
